Every Match Matters

We approach every adoption with purpose and intention. By taking the time to understand your home, your lifestyle and what you’re looking for, we ensure each placement is thoughtful and well-matched.

Our breeding goal is simple…. Breed the healthiest, most beautiful cats that embody the Maine Coon breeding standards. Not only to include the genetics, health and physical characteristics, but also the temperament and companionship of every cat.

Our adoption goal is equally as simple…. To match Elite cats/kittens with families that will provide extreme love bombing, irrational toy purchases, over-protection, ridiculous amounts of healthy treats that you find randomly in your pockets and have/show your kitty’s pictures like they are human children and truly part of the family — for life.

1. Complete the Pre-Approval Adoption Application

Your journey begins with our Pre-Approval Adoption Application. This allows us to learn about your home, lifestyle, and what you’re hoping for in a Maine Coon companion.

There is no commitment to adopt at this stage. The purpose is simply to ensure that our program and your expectations align before moving forward.

2. Application Review

Once your application is submitted, I personally review every detail. If your home and expectations feel like a good fit for our program, you will receive an invitation to schedule a video call.

Only pre-approved families are invited to move to the next step.

3. Video Call

Pre-approved applicants will meet with Christine or a member of our team (Natalie or Brinley) via video call.

This conversation allows us to connect face-to-face, answer your questions, and learn more about your home environment and lifestyle. It also gives you the opportunity to get to know us and see the loving environment in which our cats are raised.

This step is important. It gives us confidence that each kitten will be placed in a safe, nurturing home — and gives you confidence that your new companion comes from a responsible, caring, and professional program.

4. Final Approval & Moving Forward

After the video call, we will make our final decision regarding pre-approval — and you will decide whether we are the right fit for your family as well. Our goal is a mutual match.

You will receive an email shortly after our meeting confirming whether we feel it is a good fit and inviting you to move to the next phase.

If it’s a perfect match, you will be added to our private email list for pre-approved families. Through this list, you will receive:

  • Announcements of upcoming pairings

  • Pregnancy confirmations and due dates

  • Newborn announcements

  • Growth updates and photos

  • Most importantly, the date and time of “Pick Day” for each litter

5. Pick Day Preparation

For the first eight weeks, we carefully monitor each kitten’s development and personality.

Approximately two weeks before Pick Day (when the kittens are around eight weeks old), we will:

  • Announce the official Pick Day date and time

  • Post updated photos of available kittens

  • Share individual pricing

During the two weeks leading up to Pick Day, pre-approved families may request an additional FaceTime call to observe interactions, discuss personalities, and ask any final questions.

6. Pick Day

On Pick Day, we begin accepting email requests at the designated time. The selected time is chosen to accommodate families across multiple time zones.

Requests are honored in the order received, with thoughtful consideration given to matching each kitten’s personality and needs with the right household.

Our priority is not simply order — it is alignment.

7. Match Confirmation & Deposit

Once matches are made, you will be notified promptly by phone or email. We work quickly so families are not left waiting.

You will receive a contract to review and sign. A deposit of 30% of the total purchase price is due within 48 hours to secure your kitten.

The 48-hour window is not meant to rush you, but to solidify placements and allow bonding to begin. If the signed contract and deposit are not received within that timeframe, we reserve the right to offer the kitten to the next approved family.

Once these steps are complete, we are officially one step closer to Gotcha Day.

8. Open Adoption, Lifelong Support & Connection

After months of nurturing and loving these kittens, saying goodbye is never easy. Because of that, we cherish ongoing connection.

We love receiving updates, photos, stories, and even the occasional tale of mischief. Watching them grow and thrive in their new homes means more to us than you can imagine.

That said, we understand that life is busy. We will check in a few times after placement to ensure everything is going smoothly, but beyond that, communication is always in your hands.

Please know this: we are always here for you. Whether you need advice, reassurance, or guidance years down the road, our support does not end at adoption.

If life circumstances ever change, we ask that you contact us first so that together we can ensure every Maine Coon Gods cat remains safe, loved, and properly cared for.

Our community is built on trust, transparency, and connection. The more shared moments, the stronger that community becomes — and we are grateful for every family who remains part of it.

The Adoption Process

The Adoption Process

Benefits

While we devote significant care to preparing each kitten for a smooth transition, there are a few responsibilities that remain with the adopting family:

Travel or transportation expenses, if pickup or delivery arrangements are needed. We’re happy to coordinate both ground and flight options for your convenience.
A secure pet carrier for the trip home. If helpful, we can purchase one on your behalf at our wholesale cost.
Future veterinary care, including routine wellness visits and any medical needs after adoption.
Home supplies, such as litter, scratching posts, toys, food dishes, and bedding. We will provide a recommended supply list based on what has worked best in our home.
Kitten-proofing your home. Maine Coons are curious and clever. We’ll share a practical checklist to help you prepare — including reviewing houseplants, securing loose strings or threads (a favorite!), and identifying common household hazards.
Pet insurance or future medical expenses, should unexpected needs arise.
